District Mosque, Çankırı

 

Camii alanı, 30.200m2’lik kent parkı düzenlemesini neredeyse ikiye böler bir noktada konumlanmaktadır. Yoldan yaklaşık 6mt daha aşağıda düz bir topoğrafyaya yerleşen, semt ölçeğinde bir camii planlaması istenmiştir. Bu bağlam içinde yapı yoldan ve düşük kottaki park alanından algısı ve kullanımı düşünülerek iki katman halinde düşünülmüştür. Alt salon ve üst salon olarak nitelenecek iki salon birbiriyle eşdeğer niteliktedir. Daha küçük olan üst salon ana salon olarak devamlı kullanılacaktır. Böylece vakit namazlarında daha az sayıda olan kullanıcıların ana salonu kullanabilmesi ve işletme maliyetlerinin düşürülmesi sağlanmıştır. Cuma ve bayram namazı gibi kullanımın yoğun olduğu zamanlarda da aynı nitelikteki alt salonun ve uygun hava şartlarında dış avlunun kullanılabilmesi sağlanmıştır.

Alt ve üst salonlar dairesel planlı çözülerek, semt aksları ile kıble yönündeki aşı farkının önüne geçilmiştir. Üst salon, kubbenin parçalanarak katlanmış plak şeklinde çalışacak bir forma getirilmesi ile oluşturulmuştur. Gün ışığı kabuklar arasında açılan camlardan en-direkt olarak içeriye alınmış, böylece içerde gölgelerin oluşmamasına gayret edilmiştir.

Tek minareli olarak çözümlenen yapıda, ana kütleden kıble yönü algısının belirli olmaması sebebiyle, şerefenin kıble yönünü daha belirgin işaretlediği asimetrik bir tasarım tercih edilmiştir.

Yapıda kullanılan ana malzemeler, titanyum alaşımlı kenet ve mimari betondur.

District Mosque, Çankırı

 

The area of the mosque is located on a point split- ting the urban park area of 30.200 m2 in almost two halves. It is requested to plan a district-scale mosque to be located on a flat topography approximately 6 m down the road. Within this context, the building is considered to be designed as two (2) tiers taking into account the perception of building from the road and the urban park area at the low level. The two halls, i.e. the lower and the upper halls are almost equal in terms of characteristic features. The upper hall which is smaller than the lower one will be regularly used as a main hall. It is aimed that less people use the main hall during the daily prayers, thus helping to reduce the operating costs of the mosque. By this means, the use of the lower hall and, under favorable weather conditions, the outer court is ensured during times such as Friday prayers or Eid prayers when the mosque is used extensively.

The lower and upper floors are designed in a circular form, eliminating the angle difference between the axis of the district and the direction of Qibla. The upper hall has a dome designed in the shape of a folded plate. The indirect sunlight is allowed to enter through the skylights located on the roof shells, thus aiming to prevent the casting of sha- dows in the indoor areas. The basic materials used in the building are titanium alloy standing seam system and architectural concrete.

 

The mosque is designed with a single minaret and an asymmetric design where the minaret balcony shows the Qibla direction more explicitly is preferred because of the ambiguous perception of Qible direction from the main block.
