GG House, Ankara / Turkey, 2014
GG Evi, Ankara
Yapı, mimarın kendisi ve ailesi için Ankara / Çayyolu’nda yer alan 312m2 büyüklüÄŸündeki arsada tasarlandı. BitiÅŸik nizam imarlı yapı adasının köÅŸesinde yer alan parsel üzerine planlanan yapı kent villası olarak tanımlanabilir. Konunun, fonksiyonel ve estetik çözüm bekleyen tasarım kararları dışında yüzleÅŸilmesi gereken iki ana problemi;
​
1- Daha önce tek evde yaÅŸamamış çekirdek bir ailenin, apartman yaÅŸamı alışkanlıklarından gelen yaÅŸam kültürünün bu projeye vereceÄŸi tasarım kararlarının belirlenmesi,
2- Mimarın kendisi ve ailesi için ev tasarlamasının getirdiÄŸi ve bu sürece girilmeden önce hiç de farkında olunmayan, sarsıcı yüzleÅŸmelerle baÅŸa çıkma çabası - seçmesini/vazgeçmesini öÄŸrenme süreci olarak tanımlanabilir.
Arsanın en yüksek köÅŸesi ile en düÅŸük köÅŸesi arasında yaklaşık 2 kat yüksekliÄŸine varan kot farkı dolayısyla 2 bodrum katlı planlamaya gidildi. Zemin kat, 1. Bodrum kat ve 2. Bodrum kattan bahçeye ulaşımlar ve ulaşılan her bahçe kotunda yapılan setlemelerde farklı temalarda peyzaj alanları oluÅŸturmak, çevreye bir biri üzerinden bakan farklı vistalar saÄŸlamak hedeflendi.
Bu bahçelere ek olarak salon ve mutfağın ara kesitini oluÅŸturan bir teras bahçe oluÅŸturuldu. Bu bahçe dışarıdan eriÅŸimin engellendiÄŸi, ufku açık, ve devamlı direkt ulaşımın saÄŸlandığı evin en keyifli yerlerinden biri haline geldi.
Salon üzerindeki boÅŸluk ve U ÅŸeklindeki plan ÅŸeması kendini seyreden, aile bireylerin kendi özel alanlarına çekilebildikleri, aynı zamanda da tek mekan algısında bir arada oldukları, kolay iletiÅŸim kurdukları bir mekanlar silsilesi yarattı.

GG House, Ankara
The building was designed on a land of 312 m2 located in Cayyolu/Ankara for the architect himself and his family. Located at the plot at the corner of land with attached building status, the building can be described as urban villa. The two main problems of the subject other than design decisions in need of functional and aesthetic solutions, which need to be confronted, are as follows;
​
1- Determine the design decisions depending on the living culture stemming from the living habits of a nuclear family that has not lived in a single house previously,
2- Coping attempts of the architecture with traumatic confrontations stemming from designing for the architecture himself and his family brought, and also not recognized before this process.

Two basement floor planning was preferred due to the elevation difference of up to 2 floors between the highest corner and the lowest corner of the land. It was aimed to create Access from Ground floor, 1st and 2nd basement floors to the garden, and create landscape areas of different themes in settings built on each garden level reached, and provide different vistas facing the environment over one another.
In addition to these gardens, a roof garden that makes up the cross-section of the living room and kitchen was created. This garden with open horizon has become one of the most pleasant places of the house, where outside access is blocked, and there is a continuous direct access.
​
Void on the hall and the U-shaped scheme created a sequence of rooms, where family members can retreat to their own private spaces, where they get also together in the perception of one place, and communicate easily.
