Öniz Yaşam
Ankara, 2020
Öniz Yaşam Residences, developed as an alternative to conventional apartments and villa sites. It was designed with an understanding that aims to combine the advantages of both typologies in a single project. In the project, which makes the use of outdoor spaces functional as well as residential types, besides the common landscape areas, the outdoor and indoor life continuity has been maximized thanks to the private gardens allocated to them.
Designed in 4 different types, each with separate entrances, 30 houses with gardens determine an advantageous orientation strategy by using the topographic structure of the land, and elaborate on the concepts of turning inward, creating privacy, drawing borders, creating personal space, which are the essential elements of the house.

This situation also creates private living spaces necessary for detachment and isolation, the importance of which increases even more in the period when we are trying to get used to new normals. 6 blocks, each consisting of 5 gardens residences, form a kind of pedestrianized inner street with their settlement on the land. The street, which has structured pedestrian transportation since the entrance of the site, is also considered as a kind of meeting place, when we most need a controlled socialization. The vehicle road surrounding the blocks is also a playground that hosts street games. The blocks converge on the basement floor with the parking area that provides direct access to the residences.
It is thought that our project, which follows the traces of a calm life with its refinement in detail and the quality of the light it receives into its spaces, will also be an important tool in terms of representation of the users. The construction of the building is planned to be completed in the last quarter of 2021.
