Ö House
Ankara / Turkey, 2010

Although the Ö house is a weekend house designed for a single-family, it has also been designed as a structure that turns into two separate houses when necessary. Having a construction area of 350 m2 located on a farm land of 33.000m2 in Polatlar village of Sincan district of Ankara province, the building consists of entrance and a kitchen on the ground floor and a glass house covered with 2 wooden shutters plugged into a body covered natural stones designed as a bridge on the first floor. The most powerful element of the building is the arcade combining all the bodies. Arcade creates a kind of inner courtyard, semi-sheltered outdoor spaces, beyond being just a description of the area allocated for home use.
